There are a number of ways to engage with TED. Take note if there is a TEDx event in your area through some Facebook or Google searching. While the speakers may not be international standard, you’ll find your horizons shifted and expanded through exposure to some excellent South African ideas worth sharing. (Many of your Icon’s guests were TEDx speakers at a local event)
There are thousands of talks on the TED.com website and our invitation is for you to get lost in them – find a playlist, download three or four for a ‘brain date’ one Tuesday, find a way to connect with ideas you are completely against…. TED.com is a great resource for new ideas, new concepts and different ways of living that may change your life.
If you find a talk you think the rest of your team should watch, please feel free to let us know and we’ll pop it onto the list.
The talks below are our personal favourites – some are funny, some are life changing, some just spark an idea for work and how to live life in a more congruent and interesting manner. (They are not all work related as we have many interests between us)
We hope that you enjoy them.
